This is a dazzling book. Lauras sister Mary, goes to college, she misses Mary. She goes to a school and her teacher, mrs Wilder was very nice and the boys tried to see how much mischief they could make until she would tell them to stop. She was one of the oldest kids at the school, along with her friends Ida, Minnie, Mary power, and Nellie Oleson. (Read on the banks of plum creek.) They all also caused a lot of trouble in class. One day, Nellie told them a deep secret. Mrs Wilders real name was Eliza Jane, and the kids at school made fun of her by singing this verse: Lazy lousy lizy Jane! All because Mrs Wilder was cruel to Carrie, Laura’s younger sister, at the age of seven. She told her to rock the chair and she tried all her might and was extremely tired. Laura hated to see such cruelty to her sister and Helped Carrie rock the chair. They got expelled. My favorite part is the part when Laura gets a beautiful name card and with her full name. I learned that audiotape don’t know everything.

I absolutely love this book! I love that it’s about curly hair and I have curly hair so it is very relevant to me and my curly hair routine with this book. I love how Marlene tells her mom that she looks and loves her hair when it is curly also, when Marlene talks to her mom that she hates going to the salon to get her hair done. She just wants to be free from the salon and let her be herself most of the time. But when she went to her Tia Ruby’s house she did Marlene’s curly hair and she loved it!! This is why I LOVE this book! I definitely recommend it to any lovers of graphic novels like me!

This is a book about a boy named Oliver who was an orphan. He was so brave. When he was at a work house, he asked for more gravel to eat when he was not supposed to. He first went to a workhouse, with more people working. The owner, mr. Bumble, was neither kind, or generous. On Oliver’s ninth birthday, he took him to mr. Limbskins. He suggested that Oliver should work for a man named Fagin. He was a member in a group of thieves. He was very rich. Pleasantly gave lovely food. One day, they played a game. It was of memory. Oliver learned it very quickly. He surprised Fagin. He gave him two silver coins and praised him and told everyone else to do the same and learn like him. One night, he could not sleep. He saw Fagin riches. He was scared that he would tell so he told him to keep it a secret. My favorite part was the end. When he was adopted by a kind man.

LOVEEE IT!!!! I wish there were book number two this book was so good! I loved how Sue the main character didn't want a quinceañera but in the end, she saw a girl who was having one and then wanted one immediately. This shows how the Spanish religion celebrates Spanish girls coming of age at 15 and has a quinceañera when they turn 15. If you LOVEEEEE graphic novels get his book now!

Dracula
by Bram Stoker

Overall, I loved reading this book. The plot came together nicely and the characters were both compelling, and interesting to learn about. Dracula wasn't quite "horror" in the way that I was used to, instead of jump scares and gore, it used descriptions and a sense of suspense to build the reader's anxiety. The entire time that I was reading, I felt like the characters were real, which not many horror books can do. It didn't use cliches at all, the plot twists were well thought out and all made sense with what information the book had supplied previously. My only note is that there were a lot of casual sexist remarks made toward the middle, which was off-putting for me, even though I know that this book was made during a time when that was considered okay. It took me a lot of time to get through, but Dracula was definitely worth the read.
