This is a book about a boy named Oliver who was an orphan. He was so brave. When he was at a work house, he asked for more gravel to eat when he was not supposed to. He first went to a workhouse, with more people working. The owner, mr. Bumble, was neither kind, or generous. On Oliver’s ninth birthday, he took him to mr. Limbskins. He suggested that Oliver should work for a man named Fagin. He was a member in a group of thieves. He was very rich. Pleasantly gave lovely food. One day, they played a game. It was of memory. Oliver learned it very quickly. He surprised Fagin. He gave him two silver coins and praised him and told everyone else to do the same and learn like him. One night, he could not sleep. He saw Fagin riches. He was scared that he would tell so he told him to keep it a secret. My favorite part was the end. When he was adopted by a kind man.

This is a great book but I rated it four stars because there was to much talking. This story is about these two girls swapping their houses for vacation. Ones. Name was Allie that dreamed of becoming a spy, and Sage, who is very interested in her Crystal collection. They hatch a plan to get her to get Sages dad to come to Where Allie lives. 1st, Sage calls her dad and tells him that her mother was badly hurt, so she had to go to the hospital. Second, he asked where she was. She replied that she was at Allie’s friends house. She told Allie to call her in the voice of her friends mom. When he called, Allie replied in the voice of a mom. Then, Allie finds out that her diary is lost, and she found out who it was… It was her cruel neighbor Chloe Benton! Back at Sages, Sages mom went to the town. My favorite part was when Allie goes to surf camp. I learned from this story that you always can find a friend.

This book is a wonderful tale about a old man named Scrooge, whose business partner named Marley. Scrooge was Grumpy man who was never in the Christmas spirit. But then, one night, he was visited by Marleys ghost. It told Scrooge that next night, he would be visited by three ghosts. One of Christmas past, Christmas present, and Christmas yet to come. At one am exactly. Scrooge was terrified, the next night, Scrooge woke up because of the ghost. The ghost of Christmas past. It teleported Scrooge to a mysterious world. The ghost explained that this was Christmas past. Then, on the dirt road, came a hoard of boys riding horses. Scrooge could name each boy one by one. Then, he appeared into a room with a jolly man in it. He was the Ghost of Christmas present, he showed a shadow of Bobs family, his clerk, they were poor and they had a small goose, a tiny soup, and a bowl of berries. All because Scrooge wasn’t increasing his salary. The Ghost of Christmas yet to come visited him and showed him to a coffin. He pointed at the sheet, covering a man’s body. Scrooge had the message in his mind, take off the cover. Scrooge was to scared to do it, so the ghost took him to a graveyard. The gravestone had his name on it! The second he read it, he woke up. From now on, he treated people with respect. I like this book because Scrooge learns a very important lesson, to treat people with kindness, my favorite part was when Scrooge treated people with kindness.

The book was fun to read because Bo made a new friend who was a jackalope. We got to learn a lot about jackalope and friendships. There was a sad part when the centaurs were pointing arrows at the jackalope and telling them to go away but everyone came together to support jackalope.
